A beautifully handcrafted Tokoname teapot. Hand painted with cherry blossom flowers, some flowers are still buds and some are in full bloom. Most Japanese Teapot's handles are left plain, but this teapot has a decorative set of leaves hand painted at the end of the handle which adds to its beauty.
The teapot itself holds 270cc of liquid making it suitable for all the loose leaf sencha and gyokuro that we stock. This tokoname teapot has an obiami style strainer. It wraps 360 degrees around the inside wall of the teapot. Obiami strainers are renowned for allowing the tea leaves to open fully when infusing, which in turn releases all the flavor of the tea.
