This is a namako handcrafted Mino Yaki matcha bowl. Namako is a blue glaze which is traditionally applied to the inside of Japanese pottery. This matcha bowl has a beautiful rutile blue namako glaze applied over a brown clay. Each bowl also has the glaze applied unevenly to the outside of the bowl giving it a wonderful finish.
Handcrafted in the Mino area of Gifu prefecture which is famous for its Japanese pottery.
