Our first harvest organic Shizuoka sencha is grown in a secluded mountainous area close to the well-known tea road in the Kawane district of Shizuoka. The Kawane tea district, which is famous throughout Japan, is blessed with a beautiful environment, pure water, rich soil, plenty of sunshine and deep mist from the Oi river, all of which help produce this teas fine fragrance and flavor. A very popular organic sencha here in Japan, so it might be limited later in the season.

2008. Available each year after the shincha form has sold out, usually by mid to late June. Kept in cold storage then final stage processed and sent to us in small batches to maintain the freshness throughout the year. |
